10 Charged With DWI In Westchester Stops

Despite being warned of emphasis patrols and special details during the holiday weekend, 29 area residents were among 36 arrested by New York State Police troopers for alleged impaired driving over Thanksgiving.

Westchester County

  • On Thursday, Nov. 28, State Police from Hawthorne arrested Dante J. Garcia, 49, of White Plains, for DWI. He was traveling on the Sprain Brook Parkway in the city of Yonkers, when he was stopped for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. Investigation revealed he was under the influence of alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
  • On Thursday, Nov. 28, 2019, State Police from Brewster arrested Paul R. Tripi, 47, of Somers, for DWI. He was traveling on Interstate 684 in the town of Southeast, when he was stopped for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. Investigation revealed he was under the influence of alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
  • On Thursday, Nov. 28, State Police from Cortlandt arrested Junior J. Hidalgo Rivera, 34, of Yorktown, for DWI. He was traveling on State Route 9 in the village of Croton-on-Hudson, when he was stopped for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. Investigation revealed he was under the influence of alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
  • On Thursday, Nov. 28, State Police from Cortlandt arrested Benjamin W. Conner, 20, of Cortlandt, for DWAI Drugs. He was traveling on Oregon Road in the town of Cortlandt, when he was the subject of a welfare check by a concerned third party. Investigation revealed he was under the influence of drugs, and was subsequently arrested.
  • On Friday, Nov. 29, State Police from Somers arrested Terri L. Alford-Steinfeld, 58, of Katonah, for DWI, Resisting Arrest, and Obstruction of Governmental Administration, all misdemeanors. She was traveling on State Route 202 in the town of Somers, when she was stopped for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. Investigation revealed she was under the influence of alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
  • On Friday, Nov. 29, State Police from Brewster arrested Gabriel A. Morales Recinos, 34, of Mount Kisco, for Aggravated DWI.
